Booked for a very large group for a Sunday night before Christmas. We were running late. Phoned ahead to apologise & was assured it wasn't a problem. Everyone's food was great, all came out pretty much together & the staff were amazing.
This is an absolute gem. The service is superb, the poppadom pickles are all hand made on site and delicious. Tried a number of the house specials, all fantastic as well as my go to lamb dhansak, very much up to standard. Highly recommend
Taj Mahal is now our Indian restaurant of choice for deliveries too. The food tastes so fresh, you can taste the individual herbs and spices and we love the pickle tray selection. Meals from here are a real treat. Oh and the delivery driver is a nice chap too …
The food was absolutely amazing, the staff treated me and my partner so nicely and offered us a complimentary drink at the end of the night! The food tasted fresh and was lovely, I recommend to everyone and you will definitely see me again!

We're not regular curry house visitors but whenever we do out to curry it's here: Taj Mahal. Never a bad curry and it's in my top 5 curry houses in the UK. Brilliant chefs, courteous and polite waiting staff and the owner is a lovely guy. Recommended. 07/06/24: came out for an unplanned meal out with my wife and we worked out that we've been coming since sometime in early 2008,not long after we'd moved to Telford from Manchester. So, 15 years after our first visit - we keep going back. Wonderful staff, a lovely owner, and exquisite food! Still recommended.
2nd visit here and was a spur of the moment meal. Staff really on the ball to get menu and drinks sorted. Nice poppadoms and pickles tray to start, then a Dhansak which was sweer rather than hot and sour, still really good. Washed down with a pint of bicycle club IPA, first for me and very drinkable. All that for a touch under 22. Bargain. Will be back next time I'm working in the area.
